A Quaint Little Village

Nestled away on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border of the Peak District is this tiny little village called Ilam.  If you’ve never been and like walking and scenic surroundings, I recommend going to visit.  Such a pretty little village and apart from the modern cars dotted about, it still boasts a vintage look about it.  Once in Ilam, you can visit Ilam National Park which is owned by the National Trust.  There is an old manor house which is the local Youth Hostel, so it’s not open to the public to walk round.  The gardens and the surrounding land of the estate are though.  The building itself is rather grand with beautiful views of the Dovedale hills and village church.

There really isn’t much else I can say, go take a peek yourself next time you’re venturing out to the Peak District.
