Tutbury Castle – Photographers Day

Hello 🙂

It’s a bit of a dull day out there although it seems to be a little brighter now plus it’s Friday 13th!  I’m not overly superstitious but there are certain things that I do think twice about!  I guess that’s the same for most people?

I thought I’d share with you today a collection of images taken at the Tutbury Castle Photography Day.  It was a great day, the sun was shining and although there was a slight chill in the air, the models were excellent.   It was very much aimed towards WWII with it being the Centenary year of WW1.  It was still a great day out snapping away and getting familiar with posing and trying out new things. If it didn’t work, it didn’t matter.  I have used various editing techniques to enhance the images slightly more so on the 40’s themed models.  Some may work others not but I am happy overall with them – photography is very subjective and what I do someone else will do different!  🙂

If you’re not familiar with the history of Tutbury Castle based in East Staffordshire in the quaint town of Tutbury then please take a visit to the official castle website at www.tutburycastle.com.  What I can tell you is that it imprisoned Mary, Queen of Scotts twice before her execution at Fotheringham Castle.   It is allegedly haunted and has featured on Most Haunted on a number of occasions.  The Ghost Hunters just love Tutbury Castle!!
