Winter weddings are just beautiful. I know it’s cold but the warmth of real fires and the smell of pine Christmas trees and mulled wine are just wonderful. A bit of frost and winter sun make a great winter wedding. This wedding was no exception, with the ceremony at the lovely All Saints Church in the village of Breadsall followed by a reception at the Marriott Breadsall Priory. Here I was second shooting – I’ve done a lot of this. This year (2015) has been my second season working as a second shooter. I love it and love photographing weddings. I’ve been fortunate enough to be allowed to keep the images I have taken to promote myself and my work.
All the photos here in this blog are all the ones I have taken and edited. I’m slowly finding my style of editing which comes with time. I have three of my own wedding photography bookings booked in for this year and next year and I’m sure more will come as my reputation and recommendations continue to grow. It’s an exciting time for me! My portfolio continues to grow. It’s not easy when you’re just starting out when there are so many talented photographers out there. I’ll just keep investing in myself with on the job training, workshops and experimenting – it’s the only way to learn and become not just a good photographer but a great photographer!
