All Saints Church, Cotgrave & Quorn Country Hotel Wedding

My day started at All Saints Church in Cotgrave, a small village in Nottinghamshire.  I was once again second shooting for George of U and Eye Photography.  It was my first visit at this quaint little church.  While awaiting the arrival of George and the bridal party, I captured some candids of Andy the groom, his groomsman, the bridesmaids and guests!   The ceremony itself was carried out by a family member who is a vicar in Liverpool which of course, added an extra personal touch for the bride and groom.   When the bride, Catherine arrived, I thought her dress was stunning as was her butterfly embroiled veil – I’ve never seen a veil like that before.   I loved her sparkly flat shoes which looked extremely comfortable.

After a lovely service, we went to the Great Central Railway over near Loughborough with the bride and groom to capture some wonderful photos of the scheduled steam train that the couple wanted.  I didn’t even know this place existed!  It was wonderful to have an opportunity as a second shooter to capture different angles to what George was taking.    After some photos it was time to head over to the Quorn Country Hotel for the reception and the formal family photos.  Despite being a little overcast, the weather was great, perfect for a wedding.   I had a great time as always second shooting and forever learning whilst on the job!  Believe me, there is such a lot to learn.
