Hello, thanks for the follow and also to those that just clinked on the link. This evening I’d love to share with you all, another wedding where I was second shooting once again (I love second shooting). This time quite local in neighbouring county, Warwickshire for the groom prep part before heading off to Bedworth to the Life Church to celebrate the wedding of David and Hannah.
I was second shooting for Darren of Everybody Smile Photography and it was the first time I had worked for him. My morning began with the groom prep over at a Still Waters Guest House, near Arley, Coventry. I love doing the groom preparations and only really get to do them when I second shoot. No details get left out they’re just as important as the bridal preps. When I arrived the groom and his groomsmen were just finishing breakfast, so took the opportunity to snap away quietly while they chatted. The fun began when they had to turn to You Tube to watch short videos on how to toe their ties properly. This is the point where I cannot help – I’ve not done many Windsor knots and these had to be right and slightly beyond my capabilities but hey, perhaps I should also watch a few videos on tying them before I head off to groom preps. Once dressed, we ventured outside for some less documentary shots more staged except for a few when I asked them to walk away from me. I loved how they walked down the driveway to the lane and then ended up chatting to the guy in the tractor!
After the ceremony, my day finished off at the venue assisting Darren with the group photos before heading home so quite a short day really which can be nice at times. Here is a selection of images from this wedding. Oh yes and I’m beginning to love black and white imagery! Works so well….never outdates!
